Consider exploring the nearby lava fields early in the morning for stunning views, as they are just a short walk from the hotel.

Beautiful lakeside views from the rooms!
The sauna was out of order during my stay, which was frustrating after a long day exploring. Additionally, the midge fly swarms were unbearable while trying to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Lastly, the breakfast options were quite limited and didn't meet my expectations given the high price point.

Our stay at Sel, Hotel was very pleasant. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. We appreciated the variety of the breakfast buffet, which offered numerous options. One night we enjoyed the buffet dinner while the other night we opted for an a la carte meal, both of which exceeded our expectations. The staff was helpful and even shared insights about the Aurora Borealis, which we witnessed that very night! This hotel is well-equipped for conferences and meetings, making it a good choice for business travelers.
Water pressure in the shower was inadequate.

Friendly staff made our experience pleasant, and the free amenities like coffee and towel warmers were nice touches. The family room was spacious and comfortable, making it a suitable retreat after a day of exploring. However, the breakfast lacked variety and didn't reflect local offerings, which was disappointing given its proximity to a farm. Additionally, while the views were stunning, the outdoor areas were somewhat dimly lit, limiting the appeal for nighttime activities.
